Star Trek and Sports

I am watching the New England Patriots play the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC Playoffs. Last night, I watched the Boston Bruins play the Toronto Maple Leafs.
I started thinking, which of today's sports, athletes or events would best fit in the Star Trek world?

We know Baseball made it on DS9. I'm sure all the major sports would evolve in some form into the future.
Personally, although I follow our Boston teams I couldn't watch any game from start to finish. I have them on as background while I'm doing other things.
